Photographer’s Note
This is a shot from the Stanley Park Seawall, looking across toward the downtown skyline of Vancouver. The seawall is a very popular place for walking, cycling, rollerblading and generally using any form of human powered transportation. It is about 10 km long and has some great views throughout. For any visitor to Vancouver, I would suggest this as probably the number one thing they should do.

Nice shot Alvin...
Even after years of living in Vancouver as well as other places around BC, I still do the seawall during most trips back. A beautiful way to see Vancouver and the surrounding area while taking in the natural beauty of Stanley Park.
Great shot Alvin,

A nice idea to have silhouettes, Alvin, and I like the warm golden tones. But I don't think this is one of your best shots, first because the feet and one head are lost or muddled in the silhouettes, and second, because the people are not ideally placed, with the left one a bit close to the edge. It's certainly nice, but you set an awfully high standard for anyone to keep matching, even yourself! Regards, Ken.

Hi Alvin. Nice glowing and warming light provided by the early-evening sun, and a fine use of the two silhouettes as a foreground interest to the classical Stanley Park view. Good inclusion of the reflections which amplify the tranquil and rather relaxing mood of this photo.

Alvin
A nice variation on a city scape - I like the silouetting. The cast of the photo reminds me of the cold crisp air in Vancouver - I was there for one day. If I had to add something I would say that it might have been better without the runner on the right, mainly because their head is blurred among the boats but thats just an idea and obviously you couldn't have removed them! - its a great shot. I just noticed there are actually 2 walkers in sync on the left - I thought it was one walker and one runner originally.
Cheers
Ian

Hi Alvin,
I must say a golden photo view from the famous Sea Wall. I like this composition alot. The two runners/walkers completes the frame. Nicely done.
Two fridays ago when I was waiting for the ferry at Horseshoe Bay I met an avid hiker fella from Kentucky. He had finished Garibaldi and Joffre Lakes a few days previous. Then he said one of the most exciting things he did in Vancouver was jog around the Sea Wall. I thought it was interesting how a man from way down south managed to find the Sea Wall and jogged around it. Thanks for the photo Alvin. It brought back memories!

Vey good capture of this city view. The dark foreground "pops out" the buildings more and gives additional depth. Yes, Stanley Park was my favorite spot when I was living in Vancouver, at the West End almost at the end of Robson Street.

Hello Alvin,
I remember Stanley Park ( 23 years ago ) and I would probably be there again,on my next visit to Vancouver, because it was so pretty. The silhouettes of jogging persons are wonderful and so are the morning reflections on the still water. Great light !

Hello Alvin,
Cette présentation de Vancouver est tout à fait remarquable.
Originalité bien entendu avec ces joggers en contre jour, silhouettes chinoises.
Une ville éclairée d'un soleil doux et de lumières chaudes.
Best regards.
Daniel.

Beautiful shot from the seawall, Alvin. I really like the forward motion of the people as well.. it gives the shot a nice symmetry. Regards, Doug

Very good concept and composition / interesting juxtaposition of the two silhouettes and the background which might bring to mind the jungle of any city (its hustle and bustle and urban lifestyle)
Kind regards
