Today's upload is motivated by Daniel Solinger's (marabu61) photo Silhouettes III, which depicts a wide angle view of Vancouver from North Vancouver where he mentions a water bus. As I was critiquing that photo, I thought, "I've got a photo of that bus, maybe I should post it." So here is a waterbus (SeaBus, as its official name) crossing from Lonsdale Quay to the Waterfront Station near the Convention Centre.
As of 2011, SeaBus fleet consisted of the following vessels: MV Burrard Otter, MV Burrard Beaver and MV Burrard Pacific Breeze. These ferries are catamarans constructed out of aluminium. They were quite rare when the initial two craft were constructed in 1976. They are double-ended and can travel in either direction without turning around. There are four diesel engines in each, one for each propeller. The propulsion system uses a marine version of the same diesel engine used to power many of the diesel buses on Vancouver's transit system. They are also equipped with radar, allowing them to operate in dense fog. (Descriptions of the ferries summarized from Wikipedia)
PS. Here is what else I found out: MV = motor vessel; Burrard is a district in Vancouver.
2011 itibariyle, SeaBus filosu aşağıdaki gemilerin oluşuyordu: MV Burrard Otter (Su Samuru), MV Burrard Beaver (Kunduz) ve MV Burrard Pacific Breeze (Pasifik Esintisi).
PS. İşte başka öğrendiklerim: MV = motorlu tekne (motor vessel); Burrard Vancouverın bir mahallesiymiş.

You're capturing well this scene by a good composition, a good focus and excellent tone, so it's interesting and impressive to see seabus sailing on the bay. This also shows the essence of technology hearing that this is made by aluminium material, is double-ended mechanism with four diesel engines and has equipment of a radar. The body is smart, and Wake behind a sailing waterbus draws out a good effect in this image.

A fine view of the modern ferry crossed the bay area, Murat.
Excelent clear pic., well divided between the water and boat in movement, and the built area on waterfront.
Have a nice sunday,

I remember that somebody had asked for a picture of the waterbus after my upload but as I haven't had one I am glad that you are taking over for me.
If you see the interieur one can really speak of a bus and your pleasant picture is accompanied by the perfect note with all the necessary details of the bus.
Thank you very much for the great follow up on my picture.
