Still on the ferry from Nanaima to Vancouver, the mountains of British Columbia, north of Vancouver are putting on a show in the mist of a light drizzle.

it seems that a single colour with different shades distributed all around the frame. Love the colour tone. The layers of hills at middle is very pleasant to see. A nice composition, superbly presented. Tfs.

Shades of blue!! The image has got the effects of a water-color paintings.
The negative space on the top appeals to the eyes.
There is slight vignetting of the Tamron lens on both sides from the top, but that doesn't bother much.
Its calmness all around.

Did you meet up with Craig (McJake)?
The limited colour palette has a great effect on the viewers. This has all the characteristics of a painting rather than a photograph! There is just a hint of the texture of sea ripples, to provide information about the context of the hills, which, in turn, create a fine sense of depth with their lightening hues.
It is a remarkable picture and one which I have enjoyed viewing.
My warm regards,

You got me with both here...silhouettes and the color blue! As a fan of both, this was impossible to resist. Although the tone would suggest a cold climate, there's just something that contradicts that sentiment here. I wish I knew what it was though!? :) Seriously, it's kind of driving me a bit crazy, but I really like how this appeals to my senses. The contrast in each mountain range is superb, lending itself to wonderful layering. Simple, yet enticing...the end result is intriguing. Thanks for providing minimal material in an interesting way. Enjoy your day ahead, take care.

Guten Tag/Bonjour/Ciao Daniel,
This could also be subtitled, "A Study in Blue." I love its simplicity and blueness.

J'aime beaucoup.

Hi Daniel - sorry for the long absence, this was a busier than usual summer with some travel and family time. But I'm back on TE now, and happy to catch up with some nice shots... I like this one particularly; a real study in color with the different blues mixing together in the frame. Nicely minimal, with a sea and sky nearly the same tone, broken by distant mountains. A mysterious shot - thanks!
