Photographer's Note
I've mentioned it before a few times, but this is for sure one of my top places I'd like to live in Vancouver.
Its a dream, as these water front Condos are so very expensive. Living here though, would give you the chance to jog along this seawall everyday, be close to amazing restaurants, and have amazing city views day and night. So I guess you could say its worth the money spent, but not at this point in my life...perhaps one day.
This area is known as False Creek, right downtown Vancouver with water views in all directions. Its also a great place for photo's. This day was overcast, and the condo's gave off a silver-blue hue. I was lucky to have that yellow t-shirt pass by for contrast :)
thanks for looking!

Craig
Tu as trouvé une nouvelle façon intéressante de présenter ce quartier qui est à coup sûr un beau terrain de jeux pour les photographes...et aussi pour les joggers apparemment.

Hi Craig,
I am not so sure it would be my dream place. In such big condos? No, I would prefer something more quiet. But to spend some holidays there would be nice.
Excellent composition with this diagonal track, some nice reflections and the guy in yellow enlivens the picture. Superb quality, as always.
In a few hours I will be in a plane:))

Bonjour, cher Craig,

I have been living in one of the tall condos for some time. I look out at the water from the 17th floor. Vancouver city life is unique. I work just a few blocks from home. All I need is here. Your September shot has missed the snow from the distant mountains and is just a bit early for the fall colors. Still it is Vancouver. drt100

Hello Craig,
I bet views from these condos makes up for the high prices:)I like these dominating metallic shades of the condos and...you´re right the man with the yellow t-shirt breaks nice this color scheme. So I´d say in this case cloudy sky is an advantage to intensify this metallic look of the scene.
Best regards

Hello Craig,
I certainly approve of your wish list that, for now, you present us in a beautiful POV. Perhaps one day, a photographer will catch you jogging along this canal. I like the reflections in the water and the general soft blue tone of the composition.
Best regards

Hi Craig
impressive looking part of Vancouver this and can understand why it is expensive to live here. Waterside dwellings are always that way unfortunately, although it is relatively cheap on Emerald Quay which is a waterfront development in my home town. A great shot that would go a long way to advertise their desirability, and executed stylishly. Keep saving Craig!
Have a good week - Brian.

Bonjour Craig
C'est bien à Vancouver que le marché immobilier est le plus fou au Canada. Beaucoup d'immigrants asiatiques avec les poches pleines. J'aime le point de vue et effectivement, le T-Shirt jaune apporte beaucoup à l'ensemble.

Hello Craig,
Great POV, with the runner in the yellow shirt coming towards us. I like the stones below the path he is jogging on, and the man in black isn't too far behind. :-) No doubt this would be a wonderful place to live, but after recent episodes of bizarre weather, including hurricanes, many people in the NY/NJ area would rethink living right on the water!! Of course, you still have time to think about it as you save up. ;-)

Hello Craig,
You have been showing us this area before, so you must really like it. Basically these highrise buildings look the same as similar buildings anywhere, maybe the views from them are better than average. In any case they fill the background of this picture very nicely. You have composed it well by including the reflections, some nice looking boats and two persons jogging along the shore. Apart from giving action to the view they tell us something about the way of life in this part of the city, probably a better life than in the most congested areas.
Kind regards,
Gert

Salut Craig!
On n'a pas toujours le soleil à notre disposition et il faut faire avec. De toute façon la photo est magnifique avec de beaux édifices et et de beaux reflets. Bonne composition et les personnages humanisent la scène.
Toutes mes amitiés,

Ha, ha, Craig, it would be great for photographic opportunities but give me a snug, little cottage any day.
You have done well to combine two aspects, here, the water with its reflections and the land with its contributory exercisers. The figures, well positioned, add life and a story element, whilst the water adds aa artistic dimension, with its rippling reflections.
Of course, the b/g skyscrapers are essential, for context and for their f/g input.
My warm regards,
Bev -)

Hello Carig,
I totally agree with you. I love to have the style of life like in Vancouver. It will be nice to walk places, not using a car, because we have to. This is only dream. Beautiful capture of this daily life, which I like it a lot. Tfs
All the best,

HI Craig
Yeah I don't blame you for wanting to live ina place like this. I reckon waking up with a water view every morning would add years onto your life! Anyway, to the photo: you really have done well here with the grey skies. And as you say, it's almost like you paid the jogger on the right to dress in his yellow t-shirt and emerge at just the right time, because he is a very important element in your photo. The sharpness and definition are top-notch. I like the silvery reflections and the texture of the river bank on the right.
Thanks for sharing, have a good one

Craig
Nicely composed shot with excellent clarity.
It's great to dream - my dream would be to live up a mountain in North Wales somewhere rather than a city but each to his own.
Keep reaching for the sun - one day you'll get there.

An amazing cityscape, Craig, no wonder you wish to live there.
A nice waterfront park to take stroll around, and the pic. shows this perfectly in depth.
Inspite the predominantly grey tone, you managed a fine clear shot, buildings with a metalic tone, reflected on the smooth surface.
Enjoy a nice weekend,
Ike

Hi, my friend Craig,
I know this is one of your favorite places in Vancouver. I like also.
In this framing you offers us the mixture of the architecture of these buildings, the water, the boats at the marina, and people jogging along the seawall, in a sharp image with nice reflections.
In spite of the grey and cloudy day, you have reached a good light and a perfect colors.
A beautiful composition.
Best regards,
Josep
