Photographer's Note
Its been awhile since i posted a true reflection photo.
This photo was taken a few years ago, and looking at it now it makes me want to revisit this Marina in Vancouver with all its charming fishing boats.
I know its only Friday, but have a great weekend everyone!

Hello Craig,
A sunny day with probably very calm water in the marina.
The colours of the reflection are really amazing and the shapes are only slightly disturbed by small waves.
Fantastic reflection!
Best regards, Paul

Hello Craig,
Nice 'pure' reflection' photo. The water surface is smooth enough to get a good view on the boats and with still some waves to give this painting effect.

Hi Craig, You were lucky here with the calm water and sun, so reflection is beautiful. The red balls are eye catchers here. Wonderful composition.

Hello Craig,
When I saw the thumbnail, I couldn't understand why you had clipped the bottom of the boat but, you see, on investigation, all becomes clear. This is a very sharp and clear reflection; only the the slight tremours of the verticals reveal its true identity.
Have a great w/e, too,
Bev :-)

Hi Craig,
I also enjoy these kind of pictures (and took the liberty to add this one to my theme). The colours deepen with the reflection and straight lines are pleasantly softened. A very attractive picture.
Kind regards

Gidday Craig
Well it might only be Friday to you, but it's Saturday morning here, so thanks, I'm enjoying my weekend :)
Glad to see you back posting and I hope you're not too sad and that your folks are ok. I was devastated when my nannas passed away.
This is such a bright, colourful and welcoming photo. I couldn't wait to open it when I saw it in thumbnail. And wasn't disappointed. Interesting that you shot only the reflection and not the oat itself. Unusual for your gallery, yet it has a great effect. Actually, I'm not sure, but there might be a new rule about shooting only reflections, you might want to check it as I'd hate to see this one disappear. That's the anally retentive lawyer in me, sorry. Anyway, what can I say? The light is exquisite and the photo has been composed beautifully. Have a lovely Friday and weekend. We're off to a wedding today, yay I love weddings. Which reminds me, when are you tying the knot, as I'd love an excuse to fly to Canada? ;))))
Cheers
Lisa (just joking if course, can't resist stirring)

Hello Craig,
Great colors and nicely spaghetti-shaped masts. You didn't even have to flip this over to make it look good.
Kind regards,

Hi Craig
A lovely reflection scene. The three buoys hanging on the boat are central in this composition, and they contrasts so well against the blue sky. The mess of wires and ropes together with the masts adds a lot of charm. Very nice indeed:) TFS. Enjoy your weekend!

Hi Craig
A rather brilliant example of observational photography, which for me holds the secrets to a great pictures. That one half of a wonderful story and the world passing quite unaware of it. Very well spotted indeed, truly an inspired shot. I love it.

Beautiful reflection shot, Craig. It seems you have quite an extensive amount of choice when it comes to picturesque Vancouver marinas! The boat here is very attractive and well presented, but the tone of the sky is what is catching my attention - clear and deep, fading to dark the upper limits of the shot, an effect of the water it is reflected on. Really beautiful. Thanks!

Hello Craig,
Good sharpness on the inverted reflection and its clear enough to get away with. Probably would work if the reflection wasn't so good. Punchy light contrasts and a nice warm cold color contrast between the red & blue. I like the rippled patterns in the water too. Tfs!

Hi Craig,
reflections are a popular theme and effectful many times. Fishing boats are excellent objects for this kind of experiment as we can see here, attractive saturated colors and a creative picture. I took some reflection photos of the scyscrapers in Vancouver, near Georgia street if I`m not mistaken.
Have a nice Sunday.

Hello Craig,
this is a theme I'm familiar with and know that it's not so hard to get abstract reflections but too difficult to make images like this one. You've found the perfect framing for a harmonious composition and made the most of the light obtaining delicious contrasting colours. Definition and clarity are excellent, the tremble is marvellous. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,
Ourania

Hi, my friend Craig,
an excellent idea in the inversion of the image, giving a good graphical effect to the reflections of the fishing boat on the water.
The waviness of the water provides a nice feel of painting to your photo, and I like the good light and the beautiful colors.
It's a colorful work, skillfully executed.
Best regards,
Josep

Hello Craig,
It seems that it was a rather calm and sunny weather to make this optical reflection being so artistically distorted and colorful. A very clever idea, which has been realized by you perfectly well!
Best regards,
