Lions Gate Bridge Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is the Lions Gate Bridge in Vancouver Canada. Its a Suspension Bridge that crosses the First Narrows of Burrard Inlet, it connects the city of Vancouver, to North Vancouver.

Its length is 1823 metres, and its height is 364 feet.

It began its construction on March 31, 1937, at a cost of $5.8 million dollars. Its lanes opened to the public Nov 14, 1938. Owned by the Guinness family, of the Guinness Beer fame.

Again I am satisfy by the pov. I like the blue sky and green poles. Good capture of light on the bridge table and of the lighted fixture on main cables.

Hi Craig

I love your idea here as you can see the underneath it as well as a side profile. The lights on and under the bridge really showcase its beauty. I think you have a good sillouhette of the mountains and city. And a wonderful blue hour shot here. The bridge created two big V's of blue above and below it. Overall a nicely balanced photo.

Hi Craig, I love the POV and the angles created by the bridge. And of course the beautiful Blue Hour sky is superbly exposed with great star points on the bridge itself. Your Note is interesting, especially the idea of an Irish Beer family owning a Canadian icon. TFS, it's a great shot, Lisa
