This is Long Beach in Pacific Rim National Park taken from the Wickaninnish Interpretive Centre. Not the best light I know but it shows some of the awesome scenery this park has to offer. Scanned from a slide shot on Fuji Sensia.

It's a great capture of the beach, the waves are so sharp, despite not the best weather - the colour of the water is quite good:)
The person makes it more vivid...

Hello Phil! Aren't you lucky to explore your wonderful beaches with almost no one disturubing the beauty and yet I like that someone is in your picture with just a little bit of beach in your foreground but plenty of rolling sea with some land in the back but not too much. Bautiful texture and layers created by the gently rooling surf with a lovely mountain background.
The lone man on the beach adds effective scale to this fine coastal image that is seen in clear colors and sharp details.

Hi Phil,

A very dynamic shot with those looong waves rolling in and the person providing some contrast.
Good quality, considering it's a scan. I wouldn't worry about the light, it's just fine. All those different hues of blue come out perfectly.
