Photographer’s Note
This was my first attempt at an HDR shot from three separate exposures. It was taken on Chesterman Beach near Tofino last June. This lady was out at 6:00am walking her dogs and they were loving it.

Hi Phil! Marvelous artistic effect that it makes dizzy. Very creative and curious against the light place. I like the expression of atmosphere with beams and the presence of walkers they give a satisfactory moment

Hi Phil,
My dogs could testify to the benefits of a good morning romp!
Wonderful job of handling the difficult lighting getting those beautiful clear streams of light through evergreens.
Wonderful sky and nice bit of crips color from the brigtly clad human.
Regards, Tom

Hi Phil,
Great shot and wonderful HDR. You can't really tell it's an HDR photo and that's what so great about it. Great light, beautiful colours and wonderful details. I love this view...what a beautiful place. Great work!

Good morning, Phil.
Your first attempt, uh? Well, I think you did a marvelous job at what I'm sure wasn't an easy task. The thing that makes the difference, which is the very reason I like it, is very simple : it DOESN'T look like HDR! In the hands of most everybody HDR ends up producing more disasters than a pitbull in a chicken shack...
Have a good day, buddy. I'll be seeing you.
Fulvio.

Hello Phil! What a wonderful morning light and I like how the sun beams make their way through the trees giving a pretty star effect. Smart to have this person included, what a pretty corner to have your morning exercise. I can imagine that the dogs had a wonderful time running at the beach. Great shot, Phil, never tried a HDR but it looks just wonderful to me. Best regards, have a great weekend, Barbara.

Oh my goodness, Phil,
this is one splendid HDR. I see a lot that look unreal, but this is wonderful. I love the rays of light and the way the person and dogs are still so nicely visible. I love the misty effect and the light shining on the sand. Really a beautiful job. Many thanks and warmest regards,
Shelly

Hello Phil,
I think that this is a perfectly artistic shot with so many nice elements. The composition and the moment of the capturing are great maybe because not only this lady is an early bird, but the photographer too.
Best regard,

Hi Phil, I really don't know anything about HDR, only the theory. I have to admit that it does not look like many of the HDR I see around, so I guess you have done a very fine-tuned job !? The light shining all over the image is striking and with that hint of fog adds even more to the early morning crisp somewhat romantic look. That forest could be one with fairies... Good for the dogs, they have a nice mistress that takes them out for their great pleasure I think. Lovely work indeed.

Magical looking shot Phil. In general I'm not a fan of HDR for one reason- because I feel most people take it too far to the point that it looks unnatural. I'm happy to say I don't think that's the case with this shot. This is definately one of the better HDR's I've seen here on TE. Makes me wish I was strolling Chesterman right now...
Great composition, natural looking lighting, great color- overall nice work.
Well done mate,
- Dan
