Its from looking at the thumbnail only that it seems that the surfer leaning against the pole has one long set of legs. The water temp only changes 4 degrees from winter to summer. This is why they need wet suits to enjoy surfing along these shorelines. Enjoy.

Well seen. It does look odd at first glance. A very typical West Coast day at Long Beach. the towel adds a bit of colour on this overcast day.
