This is a shot from near the top of the Black Tusk which is located in Garibaldi Provincial Park near Squamish BC. The slab to the left is the face of the Tusk and you can scramble around the back of it to reach the summit (only 1/2 hour from here).
This is the first time we've climbed the Tusk and I highly recommend it, it's absolutely beautiful.
PS: Curves, sharpen. Then I use a DV pro action from Fred Miranda which gives it a Velvia look to it. I really like this plug-in and use it for most of my outdoor shots.

Lovely landscape!I love the composition, very different from most. it is almost like the curve of the tusk moves your eye down the side then back up into the composition. Very clever!!!

Not a bad shot, but I don't think the big dark shadow is helping it much. So, I've done a workshop where I've tried to brighten up that dark shadow, and regain a little of the lost detail.
I hope you find it of use mate.

This is a great shot, Don (I'm amazed it only has 3 points, but one can never explain...) I really like how the dark wall the eye to the distance, and divides the scene into patches of different colors (red, green, blue.)
And I think what's most remarkable is blue sky in Squamish!
