Photographer's Note
This old and badly weathered church sits in a tiny native village south of Pemberton along the Sasquatch Trail that I drove yesterday. I spoke with one of the villagers who said the church is still used, but only for special occasions. She invited me to enter the unlocked building to see the inside complete with an old pot-bellied stove for heating with wood. Truly an old treasure from the past that is now declared a British Columbia Heritage Site.

Hi Gerald,
Very nice capture of this wooden church. Seems to be quite aged but still quite nice. None of those "no style" modern churches. Still with a certain character.
Good light balance, nice colors and good notes.
TFS and best regards

Bonjour Gerald,

Hi Gerald!
Wow...what a find. I have never seen this one. By your notes I gather it was in a Native Village. Really remarkable architecture, and it appears to be still sound. Nice job....well seen, and beautifully captured. Cheers,
Steve

Hi Gerald,
Very nice photo of this
--still-beautiful old church.
Your angle is excellent so we can
appreciate the details of this
structure. The montaing in the
f/g and the beautiful sky
really helped with the composition.

Wow, this is a real find! I had no idea this old church was there, I don't think I've ever seen a picture of it before. I like the weathered wood and peeling paint too, which adds a lot of character. Excellent colour and sharpness too, which never hurts a photo! Well done!

Good Evening Gerald. Nice to be back on this site. I see you are traveling abroad in many different places this year. This photo is the only one posted from Sasquatch Trail on this site. Good for you to post from a remote place like this. The place does look run down to say the least, and I am glad you had the chance to get to see the inside. Take Care Gerald and keep up the good work!

Hi, Gerald. Well yes, it looks as if this church has undergone lots of storms, but it is still standing. I like your low POV which allows the spires to stand out against the sky. The contrasts are very good and the church has quite an interesting architecture. In Canada at least, they preserve that kind of buildings!
Have a nice day,
Philippe

Hi Gerald,
This old wooden church is a real beauty even in her weathered state.
The three steeples reach wonderfully up to the vivid blue sky and swirling clouds.
The details, sharpness and clarity are first rate in this lovely rural image.

Hello Gerald,

hello Gerald,
the textures of the walls are fantastic, I find they illustrate very well that the chuch has weathered many summers and winters. but it is still reaching upwards - the uplifting feeling created by the lines of the spires is very strong. the colours are crips and clear, this is a great shot.
best,
Kristine

Hi Gerald,
Maybe just a village wooden church but these 3 spires give it a very elaborate structure, a nice and luminous image.
Have a nice sunday JY

hello gerald
that's quite a beauty, this one! the detail you have managed to capture on the church is quite a amazing. and it seems you have controlled the natural lense perspective distortion well. judging by the serious underexposure on the mountain slope, the light must have been difficult, nonetheless, you have managed the exposure extremely well where it matters (on the church). my compliments!

Hello Gerald,
For this nearly perfect picture I congratulate you. Splendid light and excellent frame, vertical straight, puffy white clouds lovely so why " Almost " ? I would have loved some more room around the church, that's all perhaps an even wider lens would have helped, at this distance.
Best - Izzet
