Photographer’s Note
The picturesque little fire tower at the summit of Mt Revelstoke, on the second day of autumn. This is a popular spot because you can drive most of the way there, and then catch a shuttle bus the last 1 kilometre. It's better to walk the last kilometre, especially when there is fresh snow all around, as on this day.
Scanned from a slide. Polariser used. I used Photoshop to lighten the shadow areas slightly, because I had to underexpose the photo to avoid burning out the bright snow.

Vincent,
This is a nice winter scene. The sky is outstanding and you have managed the lighting very well. The building is a little underexposed but if you brightened it you would wash out the details in the snow. The colors are very good here as is the sharpness and DOF. This is a nice job of scanning!

Asa
