Photographer’s Note
I've posted enough monkeys for awhile and figured I'd dig through some of the archives for some older shots.
This shot of Revelstoke Lake was taken from Mount Revelstoke Park ('Meadows in the sky Parkway'). Revelstoke Lake is actually a reservoir on the Columbia River created when they built the Revelstoke Dam in the early 80's. Mount Revelstoke provides a great view of the lake and in this case- a passing rain shower.
For more shots from my summer trip through the rockies- check out My travelogue.
I hope you like the shot,
- Dan
Workshop: a photo my cousin took of me while I was taking the shot.

Hi Dan,
You have some very good snow monkey images, that's for sure..!!!
Last year i passed Revelstoke and took the walk through the forrest but i was never up here and what a great view it is.
But then, the ws...where is your tripod? ;-)
Iso 500...strange, why? With that much light you could go down to 200 without any problems. Of course we don't see the difference here on the small size, but since you put it there i was wondering why.
Whatever...the view is breathtaking, love those trees in front and although the background is a bit hazy, the lake makes great depth all the way to the background....a real nice one.
Take care,
Henk

Hello Daniel!
That's a pretty interesting and truly attractive picture!
I really like this foreground with the pine trees with more saturated colors and the background contrasting with it, with soft lights and colors, including the coming rainstorm! Very well seen and done!
TFS - congratulations!
My warmest regards,
Neyvan

Hey Dan. I am being honest. I have not seen many such images before. This particular image and your entire gallery is breath taking. You are a master

Hi Dan
Interesting how the sky has good contrast as in the FG but the middle part of the image seems to suffer a bit. Was there a forest fire or was this from rain?

Hi Dan, Excellent shot. Like the blues and the way the clouds seem to hover over the valley giving it an ominous feeling.

Hi Dan, very pretty this Revelstoke Lake, When I saw it I think it is a river. The trees on forground are very charming and the clouds gave a mist air to the photo.
Lovely place and photo.
Thanks

Hello Dan,
This is a spectacular shot.
The field of depth is great, I like to follow the river into the fog.
Light is also very strong and give details to mountains.
Regards,
Eric.
