Photographer’s Note
I have been traveling back and forth to Vancouver Island this year and every time I take the ferry between Tsawwassen and Duke Point I pass Entance Island where a lighthouse is located. Often I watch for the quality of lighting available and Nov 25 was my lucky day. The lighting changes as the ferry passes and what I was looking for was an angled back lighting as you see here in this capture. In my gallery you can see more from the same location and every capture is distinctively different. Thanks.

Hi Paul,
What a harsh life, having to take that ferry!! I like the light in this photo of Entrance Island best, although that sunny day did give you great detail and wonderful clouds.

Hi Paul
I don't know why you got a green cast but it' just perfect for this picture. It's really a small island and I love the mood.

Great shot Paul! I've often looked to take photos while on the ferry, and I've usually been quite disappointed with the results, but this one is a real winner! The sense of atmosphere is really amazing in this, and I like that little bit of light hitting the tops of the clouds. Nice work!

Une étrange lumière avec une dominante verte curieuse mais qui crée une atmosphère vraiment irréelle. Les habitants de cette petite île aiment vraiment la solitude!

Great light Paul. The lighthouse is almost in silhouette and compliments the land forms that are a lighter shade.

Hi Paul,
Every moment on the sea presents its own color and ambience presentation, and this shot is no different. I especially like the cloud formations and how the sun is interacting through breaks in the cloud. Well done, Paul, and TFS. Gerald

Hi Paul
I enjoyed taking the ferry to and form Victoria's island in 1979, such a beautiful scenery you are having, instead of the gridlock on the highways.
The side lighting gives a subtle kind of mystery, the end of the day is close and the end of your trip also.
Soothing.

Paul, as a starting place this lighting is awesome. I'll check out the others as well. The detail of the flag and antennae and the back lit light house lens is really a sight to behold. You have nearly taken us there to see for ourselves. Great capture.
Greg
