This old fir is dying as the moss creeps up it's north side, ferns are growing fifty feet above ground. This old fir is also the tree of life for our drinking water as the Iris Spring gurgles between its roots.

Beautiful green moss in the tree, nice inclination and perspective. Nice light, good shapes. Better to post larger photos, anyway, beautiful.

Belle luminosité faisant ressortir ce vert flamboyant. Le choix d'exposition n'était certainement pas évident. Bien réussi!

Beautiful tree and the verdant colours are stunning. I only wish it were closer. A tree like this and it's moss would make an interesting closeup composition (perhaps looking up it's base). As it is some of it's grandeur is lost to the background.

I love the subtle color difference between your main subject and the background. Nicely seen. I only wish for some additional element to differentiate the focal point from the background -- less DOF, perhaps? Great eye.

Esta deve ser uma feloresta bastante humida e isso conseguiu ser bem transmitido nesta bela imagem. Parabéns.

A nice perspective for this old tree. The effects of the moss on it are so beautiful, it's sad to think it is being killing the tree.
Nice shot Jean !
