Photographer’s Note

I walked 24 km to Lake O`Hara alone and I only had two regrets:
1. The weather
2. The fact I didn’t have wider lens.
This is a place hard to describe, it has to be seen but that is not very easy, because you cannot use your car, your bicycle or anything else but their buses, or walk.
The area is protected and it is so pure…

Well worth the hike, Nelu! What color! Your pov across the green...greeeeen lake is lovely, with the cabins nestled in the shelter of the mountains. Good balance with the foreground rocks and sky reflection repeating your background elements. I like the horizontal striations of the rock formation behind the strong vertical pattern of trees.

I know your disappointment about the weather being less than perfect, but the clouds worked well for you in this shot and add a spiritual depth to your composition.

No regrets! The weather really adds to the photograph in my opinion. The overcast lighting helps to saturate the beautiful color of the lake. The composition is good too, so I don't think a wider angle is necessary. Great shot. Well worth the hike.
