Photographer’s Note
The third photo of a series of Sand Castles Competition at Harrison Lake. This one has alot if visual impact. I think the fella who created this one watched too many scary movies with mane eating dragons!! Enjoy

This one is really brilliant and so humerous - how on earth do you get and arch of sand to stay up? I like that the image shows us a little more of the context too - a good viewpoint.
I also like the artist's inclusion of someone building a fantastic castle of their own.
best wishes Kev

A fine and funny artwork - you did a great job giving us this angle of the shot - I like the sea background and the hazy overexposed sky - thanks Paul - one more for the theme

A bit macabre; well a lot actually!! Is that exposure correct? 26 seconds? Almost 1/2 a minute? No wonder some of the background is over-exposed. But every single detail is shown in the sculpture. Well done

Hey Paul. Guess who's back? :) I was standing on the banks of your Fraser River this past Wednesday in Richmond. Vancouver was pretty smoky from the Burns Bogs fire. Is that right this is a 26 second exposure? You handled the overcast conditions well. Nice shot Mr. Paul!

What an artwork in the sand, fine that you took it so clear to let us enjoy, excellent tight frame with the suggestive surroundings.

hey paul this is so detailed! It must have taken ages to carve out of the sand. I cant imagine making a sculpture like this. You have done a good job of capturing it. The colors all look natural and we can see all the detail in the sand.
the only thing that puts me off is the sky being over exposed. I know other than a sky transplant theres not much you could have done, and especially with the faded hills in the background. I would have been tempted to take another exposure to make the hills and the sky look more natural and then add them together.

Wow, Paul, This is a very nice shot of the details of the sand sculpture. The topic is very crude though. Good details and nice contrast.

Je suis ressté sur celle ci parce que c'est une vrai prouhesse technique de la part de l'artiste qui fait tenir ce sable dans les airs. De plus le sujet est humoristique.
Bien photographié

This is, by far, my favorite single photo of the series. It may give my kids nightmares, but it a well-done sculpture. And you have done a greaet job in photographing it in a very impactful way.
