Photographer’s Note
You get a lot of wonderful sights, for not too much effort, if you just do the walk around Lake O'hara. We were blessed with wonderful weather. I only wish we could have stayed well into the afternoon and evening....work was calling me back.

It is a very nice scenery and the POV, light and colours are gorgeous. The only minor flaw is the tilted water line.

Very nice, simple composition, with saturated colors and of course a pretty landscape. I'm not so fond of the placement of the shoreline in the frame, smack down the middle, and the light wasn't the warmest. I do like the placement of the tree, framing the image on the left. Lovely spot, isn't it?

Hello my friend. You master your skills, lens and machine now. Very nicely composed with great exposure. Colors are great. Very nice wind angle view. Well done and keep it up. Sothy

Hi Steve,
Very nice, like this one alot better than the earlier post from the same lake. By the way, how long a walk (time and/or distance) is the walk you refer to? I've never been there and really want to make there sometime. Good colors and well managed light. TFS. Gerald

Hello Steve,
You have an awesome picture of this beautiful lake. I skied to this lake once and believe me in winter is also equally striking. Your image is very nice. The colours seem natural, properly saturated and sharp. The angle is also very effective to show us the log as a focal point. Thanks Steve.
Roberto
PS Any chance you will join us someday for a mini TE Meeting in the Rockies?

Hi Steve:
Nice shot of Lake O'Hara, and amen to your note. I did that walk at sunrise when I was there, and it took me over two hours, as I was stopping every 10 yards or so to take a picture. It's amazing the difference between the Sigma's 10mm and my Tokina's 12mm. I shot as wide as I could, but my shots are nowhere near this wide. I like the effect of the wider angle, as it allowed you to include both the log and the clouds, which are very nice. I don't so much care for the tree on the left, but only because it obstructs the view of Odaray. Great job all around.
