Photographer’s Note
While visiting BC I found this cloud pointing at the spiral tunnels and it overlapped with the train signalling so I had to take a shot
I hope you like

Can't believe you put this one in Nature only . . .you should also put it in humor :))
Well seen . . . simple snap-shot . . . FUN!!

Hello Christian
A well timed capture of this original shaped cloud, looking a bit like an arrow, and I think there would have been more impact without the train signal, but it's only my opinion ;)Light, colors and contrast are fine.
Cheers

Hi Christian,
To be honest the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the cloud was a guitar. But then I read the note and realized that is more of an arrow. Nice work anyway and interesting texture of the cloud. This image though is pleasant and simple. Just like I like them! Gracias :-)

Ciao Christian,
La forma della nube è molto unico, il cielo tende a sorprenderci con diverse nuvole, a volte molto sorprendente. Molto bella luce e colore.
Cordiali saluti

Hi Christian,
You can consider these words from me as a general critique and advice for you, if you are willing to take it.
I think that there are four steps involved in the process of MAKING a photo. I say ‘MAKING” because it is a better word for what I understand a photo is or is supposed to be.
1. The first step is the decision of taking the shot or not. This use to be a very big deal in the “old times”, during the film photography age but now, in the digital era, when the memory is so cheap, “more is better”. The success rate though has dropped down dramatically and the trough-away photos multiplied for me. Well, I still keep the vast majority of them, especially if the subject is worthy but there are other problems with the photo.
2. If you decided to take the photo the moment is very important, especially for portrait, sport or kids photos, but not so important for landscape.
3. So you took the shot… Is it a keeper or a dumper? If at least one of the following factors is present I will keep it: interesting composition, unusual light or beautiful colors. If not, I will probably dump it.
4. Once the decision is made and I`m done with photo correction I need to see if it is worthy for upload or not.
I wonder if your workflow is somewhat similar to mine and which the differences are.
I know that I have a bad mouth and I`m not a very nice or kind person so I will try to give you an advice: when you upload the photos, try to get more of them ready for the upload and compare them; then decide.
Let`s take an example: the photo with the cloud. In my opinion, a cloud rarely can make the subject in a photo. It needs something else too. It can be part of the photo but not by itself.
I gave a similar advice to Gerald (http://www.trekearth.com/members/gneufeld/), in the beginning he might have been upset on me but take a look at his photos now…
Well, of course it`s up to you to do whatever you decide.
Cheers:)

Hej Christian,
Amazing soft cloud formation and also the signals it gives ;). Good light handeling since you took the shoot towards the sky but still managed to do the train signal justice.

Hello christian
A real curiosity this cloud. It reminds me (don't ask why) the TV serie called "X files" : the truth is elsewhere!.

Hello Christian,
First thing I saw on the tumbnail was a finger pointing to the right. But now I see it's an arrow into the other direction.
Very good idea.

Hehehe!
It is a showpiece that anything interesting can be a captivating photo.
I read all Goia has written, and i don't agree at all.
I think you should have a good observative eye to see this, and the first thing you should have for photography, is having a good observative eye.
And i appreciate your willingness to share this very interesting gas formation with us. Congrats and tnx...
