Emerald Lake Lodge on the shores of the lake it was named after, in stunning Yoho National Park. By far one of the most stunning locations I've been fortunate enough to visit. The color of the water you see here has not been altered. This water color is quite common throughout the Rockies as rivers and lakes are fed by glacial waters containing fine rock powder (flour) which is fine enough to remain suspended in the water.
I hope you like the shot,

itś a very beautiful place indeed, but what made the photo so good is the outstanding composition with the inclusion of the house and the mountain in the BG,

Great shot of this lodge and lake with the bare mountain looming above it. The vertical format is great emphasizing the height of the mountain. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has great sharpness. The people add a sense of scale for the scene.

looking at this shot, i can't help but really admire the composition.
having the bridgedeck elongated and the tall mountain scape in the BG is a fantastic mixture.
well taken and seen

Hello Dan. I would imagine this is one of those locations that you can simply drive up to for a visit. Not so with lake Ohara! The lodge and dock make for a excellent choice in this composition. Thanks for sharing.
