This was taken at Emerald Lake in the Canadian Rockies. This quiet little beautiful lake has nice cabins to stay in, canoes to paddle around the lake (or do fishing if you so desire), glacier fed emerald green water, and a view that is hard to beat. Absolutely one of the best places we've ever found on one of our road trips. We plan on visiting again, it is a "don't miss it" if you are ever in the Canadian Rockies just NW of Lake Louise (west of Field).

A very nice composition indeed, the trees on the left and right give a nice framing to the view. The elements in the foreground (well and colors purple and red of the flowers) enhance the DOF (depth of field) Good work and a nice note too.

Great use of the flowers and trees to frame the dramatic mountain view. The only thing that lets it down a little is the white sky, a blue sky would be a bit better here but they never seem to be there when you need them do they!
Very nice shot.

Awesome photo - great framing with the flowers and trees. Really like the faint reflection of the mountains, as well as the canoes.

This is a very nice picture of Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. I like the framing with the wild flowers and wishing well in the foreground.

I didn't know that expression "a don't miss it", Julie, but it certainly fits well here! :-)
This place is really astonishing, the scenery is superb and it really invites us for a visit! Very good work, I liked it very much!

It has been my favorite photo of Emerald lake for a long time, the plants and the flowers in foreground and great Mountains in the background surrounding this wonderful lake is awesome.
Nice shot Julie!

Wonderful view and the colours and the natural frame of flowers and trees and house is well placed.A bit too much light in the sky perhaps.
