Photographer’s Note
Hanging out (!!!) from the Rocky Mountaineer as we rumbled westward through the Canadian Rockies near Field, BC, headed for Vancouver from Calgary: I'll leave it to your imaginations as to how I got this shot!

Hey Jeff,
Great shot of the Rocky Mountaineer in the beautiful Canadian Rockies. I love this POV with the train agains the backdrop of that big mountain disappearing in the clouds. Haha, it looks like you are somewhere on the other track...how did you do that anyway? Sorry, I ran out of the green thingies. Great work!
Greetings,
Ann ;)

Nice shot Jeff;
I've been up this way the past couple summers. This shot must be very close to the famous tunnels that round about inside the mountain- dropping in elevation (forget the name of them). I stayed at Emerald Lake Lodge just outside Field this past summer.
I like how you captured the train and the winding path towards the cloud capped mountain.
Nice one,
- Dan

Hi Jeff,
Beautiful scenery and very interesting shot. I just wonder how you got it! The bright colours of the train stand out in this foggy environ. I guess the mountain seen here is Mt Stephen. Good work Jeff :-)

Hi Jeff --
Excellent shot...one of my favourites...Especially the colours beside the track are amazing where within the greenery leaves turned into yellow. The S - Curve of the track and hence the train going into the misty mountain adds imaginary feeling to it. Great work...
At first when I saw it it looked like you were on the track...but after a close view and basically where the last compartment ends up one can feel that you might have taken with one hand and the other you were taking support by holding the handle of the door. I personally have a very strong desire of taking a shot in that position. So I would love to know if you have done it or not. Please tell me if I am wrong. Anyway it is fantastic.
TFS

Hi Jeff,
Classic shot! the train and the winding track look just awesome.
Like old times. Its a rare thing to see these days.
Beautiful composition with the greenery on the right.
If you were hanging from the compartment while taking this pic ,then God! how long are your hands? :O

Privet, Jeff,
It remainds me the train's way from Harry Potters movies. Very magic place. Fine work!
My congratulations!
Best wishes,

Hey Jeff, you really risked life and limb getting this one (and no white pointers in sight!). I love the lines, the perfect exposure and clarity of your beautiful image. Congrats & TFS, Lisa.

Hello Mate,
Bloody great shot, the sweeping tracks changing direction to form the lazy "S" as they disappear around the bend look brilliant.
And the fog covered mountain, superb.
You must have had to put down your glass of "chardy" to get this one, top stuff.
Cheers

Hi Jeff,
A nice one, Jeff. The cured track with the train moving along in this autumn landscape is very appealing. Well done and TFS. Gerald
