Photographer’s Note
At the top of the tree line (where forest coverage ends and there are no more trees any higher up) this lone pine tree was sticking up above the rest. So I snapped it.
The town in the valley is Fernie (a fantastic little place!). The tree line can be seen on the mountains in the other side of the valley at a similar altitude.

A gorgeous picture in a gorgeous area.....however, I've never seen a Pine tree that looks like that one....the needles don't look right....would it maybe be a spruce or another species of evergreen?....just wondering....
