This building has been on my shoot-list for a long time now. I've photographed Psychiatric hospitals before, and posted them here on TE, and i will continue to post a few more as the subjects are beautiful.
This part of the psychiatric hospital is called the Creese Clinic, one building on the large grounds of Riverview.
Creese Clinic is now abandoned, no pts live here and no staff work here. Its now used as a film set for movies and tv. Many hollywood blockbuster films have been shot in this building.
As I was taking this photo, a Film crew was coming and going setting up. Normally when photographing such subjects, security kicks me out - but with the Film crew, and Me with my Camera gear, i fit right in!! They even asked me to help them with THEIR gear! Screw you security! :)
Enjoy your day

Hey Craig how you doing today? I heard of your crazy mishap in the seedy part of town, where you kind of got ruffed up a bit trying to get a good photo. Sorry, Lisa told me about your dangerous journey, I hope you made it out ok.
Anyway, great photo, I really like the angle you chose to take this shot, kind of artful combined with your POV. Excellent defining detail and superb color and light management. Superbly presented and well received photo Craig, great job!!

You must have felt quite at home with so many photographers.
I think this is an excellent shot. It is one of those that kids your sense of perspective. Though the frame is vertical, you feel you are looking into a great depth. No matter how hard you try, you cannot convince yourself that you are looking up and down!
Excellent symmetrical composition with pin-like sharpness.
Have a lovely day,

Hello Craig, Now this is a very interesting building and an extrodinary story to accompany it. This appears to be a rather massive structure and I am not surprised that Hollywood is using it. i have seen a number of movies that were shot in Canada. Apparently the country provides some good financial incentives for producers to come there. Great POV. Regards,Roger

I´d have never thought that this might be a psychiatric hospital. The architecture of its main facade is beautiful. Is it HDR?Because the effect is really captivating. It looks so soft. Also the perspective you choose here is excellent and let us admire the facade in all its glory with and all architectural details in best quality.
And in the end respect for risk your health and outsmarted security:)you had really luck with the film crew,or did you know about film set in advance?
It was definitely worthwhile risking for such a great picture.
Have a nice weekend

excellent perspective indeed! I love the light here as well, it brings out the details in different shades of gray on the building. A very impressive place for a psychiatric hospital.
My best wishes
