A maple tree on the track to Flora Lake, near Chilliwack Lake. This striking tree was just near the 3 km mark on the trail. And a steep 3 km it is. We didn't go all the way to Flora Lake because the weather was not the best, but the cloudy conditions were good for taking photos of the forest.
The views from high on this track over Chilliwack Lake are the main reason for doing it, but the forest is equally impressive, especially with autumn colours in much of the vegetation.
