Well I have not been too active on this site because of many other activities that have taken up my free time. But I have been keeping a watchful eye on the changing fall season and have had some time to get out there for the pure enjoyment of capturing the bright fall tones.
The Canon wide angle 10-22 lens is a fun and interesting lens for creative compositions. I managed to get the light on this maple tree. The blurred background shows more maple trees with bambo shoots embracing each one. But in this photo I focused on the bright leaves...and I hope you can see why.. enjoy!

The colors of nature playing in the light. This is so pretty. The light is perfect. I'm glad you included the bamboo in the background it gives it an elegant orderly feeling that shows off the red so beautifully. Awesome detail and I really like the shadows cast upon the leaves.
I'm a bit jealous the trees around year don't change colors.

A great eye catching shot. The light really brings out the red colour on the leaves well, and your focus on the leaves is perfect. Very nicely composed, and well captured.

I like wide-angle close-ups, something few people think of. This is excellent with the glowing maple leaves. Focus is where it should be, and depth of field is perfect. Bokeh could be better but now that's asking too much from this fine lens. You know, this would look so good if it was on slide film. Cheers!

In an image like this, Leonardo's words resonate, "You need only observe and ponder, that the commonplace becomes wondrous, and the wondrous commonplace." I love the image of the leaves of the red maple tree, having assumed the brilliant colors that are all too fleeting. Beautifully conceived, flawlessly executed.

Excellent exposure on the tree and leaves. The colour red always makes for an eye catching shot. Well done Paul.

Great close in shot of these leaves. The colours are really outstanding, and you have a nice blue in the background too, which makes it easy for us to concentrate on the leaves by isolating them. Nicely done!

I like this one Paul;
Some rich fall colors (how I wish I was there to photograph them). Nice bokeh- you must have been using a small aperature eh? Rich colors, and a nice fall representation...
All the best mate,

This is a wonderful autumnshot.Wonderful light at the red leafs and a nice blurred background.Great POVand excellent sharpness.
I hope I can take some more autumn shots,but unfortunatelly this weekend we had no sun ,and this weekend we returned to European standard time.This means ,I will not have much time after work to photograph with good light,but I hope for the next weekend.....
