I had to get out today to enjoy the bright sunshine this afternoon. On Broadway Street and in many other streets in our town there are many rows of Cherry Blossom trees that bring a wonderful opening to the mood of springtime. I stopped by the road and took this one with my 70-200 lens... one of my favorite lens. So along the theme of Spring I trust you will enjoy this capture.

Very beautiful composition, Paul.
The thick canopy of Cherry Blossom trees make an excellent frame. You captured the sunlight in the trees perfectly.

The cherry blossoms look superb. The bike rider adds interest to the image also. Very nice indeed.

Wonderful to see the sight of Spring, there sems to be an extra spring in everybody's step, although here in India its already the beginning of a hot hot summer with temperatures pushing upto 40C. Excellent combination of colours and perfectly managed light.
With Greetings from India

I like the dark sky and the contrast provided by the light shining through the cherry blossom. Your pov is excellent and the cyclist is a good focal point for the image. This is a well managed shot my friend and a sign of spring, one hopes, though it's yet to show itself in my part of the world!

What a beautifully composed, and exquisitely exposed shot. The lone cysclist is an excellent focal point for the photo, and the Cheery Blossom trees in full bloom are emblematic of warmer weather to come. Very nice Spring shot.

Gheesh, All these Cherry blossoms- I almost thought this was Japan! (Japan celebrates with a Cherry Blossom Festival every year).
A nice simple daily life shot here with the Cherry Blossoms lined nicely down the street. The DOF is displayed nicely with the forground branches slightly blurred.
Nice work Paul- and Happy Easter!

Backlight really makes the world seem like a nice place, doesn't it? I was hoping I would see some cherry blossom shots from you!
I have returned to TE with a Nikon... I hope you won't hold it against me!

I like the soft colours in this, Paul, and the backlighting gives it a pleasant atmosphere. Your cyclist is positioned well in your composition. Pity about the lamp-posts being in shot, but there wasn't much you could do about that. Cheers . . . David

Hi Paul - simple suburban but very attractive, the angle of the light really brought out the blosseoms here, optimal exposure throughout, I like how the mountainous backdrop gives the illusion of having dark clouds in the sky, the cyclist adds needed dynamic life.
