This weekend I returned to this tree field in the morning fog. Its the same place I visited last fall with this photo posted. Timing is important in this season to capture the trees before all the leaves fall off. The fog added to this perspective and shooting from a low angle brings a feeling of being inside this row. If you want to see more Fall photos see my Fall themes. Its my favorite time of the year...next to spring and summer.

If you live in a country with nice and big trees, fall is a very nice season to photograph.
I love this picture. This is closer to poetry than to the vulgar technique of photography.

Beautiful. I love autumn colors. Here, we're about done with the leaves for the year unfortunatly (but see my site to see what they looked like a few weeks ago). The fog is captured well and gives a nice effect...I feel like I could be there. It's amazing that your previous post was all red and this one yellow. Does this have to do with timing or the season? Anyways, I like the fact that you revisited this spot. It's a nice comparison. TFS.

Autumn has really come here and yes it was good timing to have the leaves on the ground yet some colourful ones remaining on the trees. I like the neat spaces between them and the long line which they create, drawing the eye to the misty background. I see you had the same weather as us during the Swiss TE Trek yesterday.

Amazing photo - piece of art! Countless shades of yellow foliage contrast to brown tree trunks. Rows of trees and fog in the distance create depth and perspective. It is nearly 3D photo. I also like all the details on the ground. Nice relaxed and drowsy autumn morning atmosphere. All feelings are at rest. Frame is well done, too. Cheers - Vilius

Great shot Paul;
I like it when you return to a spot and record the changes like this. Not sure if it was a result of the zoom or not, but the trees here seem to be quite a bit taller then in the previous posting. Superb NATURAL colors here- looks great Paul!
With results like this- I still don't see why your in awe of the 5D!?!?! This looks awesome!
Well done due,
(P.S.- have suggested a TE meet with John for Dec. Says we'll keep in touch on the itinerary etc. I also let him know that we're on the MSN chat as well.)

Wow, what a shot! I was drawn to it right away when I saw it in the "Gallery" and then I saw it was yours! This is an impressive shot with these beautiful rows of trees that disappear in the fog! Fantastic composition with great quality! Excellent work, Paul!

What a shot. So symmetrical, so colourful and so moody. The mist at the further side adds good effect in it.
banyanman (7789) 2006-10-16 7:06
What a beautiful photograph, Paul - fabulous autumn tones and your graphic composition is very striking. I like the way in which the eye is drawn into the mist by the converging diagonals. A very impressive image indeed. You certainly do have an eye for shots like this. Cheers . . . David

Good evening Paul,
I like the use of the lines from thisplantation the colors and the misty mood are fine in this very well done composition.
Beautiful canadian automn coming !

I love going back to palces where I have shot before...It is nice to see the different moods presented by a time change. The perspective in thios shot is spot on...slightly closer to the row on the left giving a wonderful angled line into the mist. The exposure control here is really well done, nothing is too dark or light...right on. I do wonder why the trees are aligned so perfectly; is it a farm of some sort? Another great shot Paul, your recents are excedeing your usually high caliber.

You are the master of sfumato with all these wonderful painterly romantic pictures.

Another beauty I missed this morning. I would gladly hang this one on my wall, especaiily these days when we are at the right season. One question : Why F 29 and 4 seconds ? Weren't you afraid of shaking your camera ? Even on a tripod, the wind could do such a trick sometimes. I imagine it is for the depth of field but then you were using a 18-55 mm.
I wih you a very good week-end - Izzet
jazu (415) 2007-11-11 23:26
This is beautiful image. I love colours here. Beautiful composition Amazing. I dunno, maybe it just me, but I really enjoy more your work done with 300D. I'm not saying that I don't like your new work but somehow I sense that is totally different.
aguilarjlr (173) 2016-10-10 18:37
this is a very delicate photo, where nothing is superfluous and it is essential to get carried away. the perspective and the blind end make me travel to the memory, to a place where i once was and that i would return. congratulations!!!.
