This is my last posting on the Cheam Trail. There is so much to see on this trail and this final view shows how rugged parts of the trail is. Its an interesting part of the upper trail where you cut through these trees. I always look for an opening to capture a photo with a DOF view.
After reflection there were many more I should have taken. But the best I have posted and trust it has been enjoyable for Trekers. I do appreciate all your comments and trust I can continue to keep the creative edge on posting. And darn it I jsut realized i messed up the frame. Dang busted..
Lately I have seen a whole lot of very great photos on Trekearth. We should all strive for excellance in all we do. But I have to admit I enjoy taking pictures a whole lot more than washing dishes or moving the lawn. LOL

This is my last critique for today and the choice is for your recent post. I like your guidelines and your present work. You have a difficult sky but you handled it very well. The luminosity is good in a difficult angle of capture. But this same angle is very good in perspective with this fine vertical enquadrement between the trees with a excelent DOF and POV. Fine sharpness and also beautiful colors. I like your landscapes too.
Best to you.

very nice shot. I like how you captured it in between the near trees. It seems to be a very pretty place. Pitty about the trees on the left, they are slightly in the way.

How wonderful it must be to walk on the trail in such an environment. I really MUST go in BC one of these days, these landscapes are so magestic. The wilderness at its best.
Your framing between the trees under the shade is really neat, makes us appreciate the hot sun in the vally and the freshness of the shade in the forest. Sharp, good colors, good compo. Still looking for the grizzly.

Super perspective for this shot, Paul. I like the saturated color and composition.

Hi Paul. I must say that I'm sad to see this series come to a close. I most certainly did enjoy it. I see you got to incorporate some backlighting here. You did well keeping the exposure balanced too. Well seen Paul!

Another "trek earth" shot from you...:). Did you say "last posting"? oh man...thats bad. Hope you go for more treks. Love to see the unspoilt nature in your shots which is very refreshing for me at Chennai city. I like your POV between the 2 trees from where you shot the valley.

You have chosen a good angle taking this shot, beautiful between the trees, with a great depth view, as well splendid colours. A pity for white sky, but nice contrast.

I like to take photos with trees as a frame too; it seems to make a scene so much more interesting to look at, but it does create focusing and exposure problems. I think you have managed that well. Beautiful scenery indeed. I still have quite a lot of US travalogue to post, but I live in a beautiful area too and very different, so watch this space....

Nice composition with beautiful natural frame. I love the rich green tones you captured and the perspective of your photo. Very well done!

Hi Paul, A wonderful peek view indeed. What a nice place to be. You have well made the frame of the beautiful view using the natural tree trunks. At the same time, you have shown the depth of the field by the contrast of the sharp foreground and clear background. Well done.

Awww, my virtual hike is over so soon? Well it was great while it lasted, this one seems to have captured the beauty of the area, the steepness and ruggedness of the trail, and the lovely "green" that we live with here in the rainy Cascades! I love the trees framing the shot and the trail (at least it looks like it) peeking around the grassy bend. I look forward to your next trek, now that I'm back to work, I won't be doing many more myself.

What a wonderful view to peek at. It got you feel that you are on the top of the world, capturing the overall view of the wonder of mother's nature.

Good evening Paul!
Very well framed and composed beautiful scenery. Excellent depth of the field, super view at the green hills covered by forest and the mountains in the background. Well seen and done.

Great nature, wild and strong.
I like the both side trunks used as a frame and the depth on the whole lenght.
The window is nice on the summits perspective.
I like it
