Photographer’s Note

This image was taken along a country backroad near Chilliwack, B.C. about a week ago. Seems the leaves mostly dried off this year in our area so colors have been far less pronounced than they are most years. What I liked most about this image is the diagonal lines and complimentary colors of the fence cutting across a small quiet stream in very serene surroundings.

Hello Gerald. This photo looks like it was taken around Camp River Road. The fence line really does add to the framing and color combination to this photo. Good work from an experienced eye.
I have found that the colors of fall in the Fraser Valley were the best when we had the most rain as in the last two weeks. Thanks for sharing.

Je vois que toi aussi tu es inspiré par l'automne ! Bien t'en a pris car cette image est une grande réussite. Le cadrage est excellent. Le regard par dans les deux diagonales avec la barrière (et ses feuilles mortes) et le cour d'eau.
Des couleurs agréables même s'il manquait visiblement de lumière.

Belle photo automnale, avec tout ce que cela comporte, les feuilles au sol , les couleurs, ton angle de prise est soigné,clihé tres net malgré la pluie...

Très jolie photo d'automne bien composée. Les couleurs sont superbes et bien rendues malgré un ciel nuageux et accompagnées de beaux reflets. J'aime bien la rampe en diagonale et les feuilles jonchées sur le pavé.

The colour of the railing matches that of the tree in the BG and as you say compliments the other fall colours. Nicely done.

100% automne, avec cette balance de couleur légérement déplacée vers les couleurs chaudes.
La variété d'arbre déclanche d'ailleurs un feu d'artifce de teintes automnales. La rambarde et le cours d'eau sont des 'plus'.

I agree with the complimentary colours comment. I like how the fence is similar to the tree colours in the BG. Good DOF and details. It looks like it was just starting to rain in your photo. Hope you got outta there before you got too wet.

Hi Phil,

The strong diagonal of the bridge rail contrasts pleasantly with the reflective meander of the river while the still bright green of that tough old blackberry vine adds definition and contrast for the warm haze of fall color. Very nice

Another really stunning autumn colors shot, yes there is a great sense of peacefulness and calm. Looks like it just rained, the wooden bridge is still wet, the rain may have bring out the color even more. Great details lovely composition and beautiful colors. I love it.

Beautiful landscape photography with great composition and framing and very interesting perspective! The "washed out" sky is a bit of a problem here, but you forget about that as soon as you lay eyes on these fantastic autumn colours!
