Photographer’s Note
One of the things I love about Simon Fraser University are its hidden corners. The university itself is a frightening concrete monstrosity, the birthchild of the acclaimed architect Arthur Erickson. However, in between its cracks can be found wonderfully secret little pockets of humanity where I've gone many a time to study *ahem*cram*ahem* before exams.
In the upper left are a circle of wooden benches that probably ceased to be used a decade ago and now look old and mysterious. I used to fantasize about how little dwarves and gnomes would smoke their pipes and discuss important things when people weren't looking. :)
White balance set to "Shadow" to increase the warmth of the shot and a tiny touch of levels to increase the overall brightness of the image.

it's a good landscape pic you've got! but, I think you still can catch some more details on the leaves by using smaller aperture.. f/8 or f/11 is OK for most landscape pic.. you can use some aid like tripod or monopod to reduce handshake during exposures.
but, still.. it's a good pic to me!

Nice photo Aki. Well composed, and I actually like the blurry leaves - it highlights the beautiful brick road. Enjoy the summer vacation!
