Photographer’s Note
If you were to travel along some of the main routes between Alberta and Saskatchewan you would find many wooden grain barns along the side of the road. This four in particular caught my attention because of how they were leaning into each other. That combination of leaning and a 10-22 wide angle lens makes for an interesting composition. The fields are still soft from melting snow and the open fields are brown and bare. But these old barns give you a reminder of the history of Saskatchewan farm life.

Hi Paul,
interesting shot which makes the house in the front appear as it would like to sleep on the "shoulders" of the other house. The wide angle lens can sometimes makes bizarre pictures and this one is wonderful because of its composition and its colors.
Cheers,
Edi

Hi Paul,
Yes, indeed an interesting composition. How long will it take until the wind takes over and the leaning is complete? Very good colours here!
Kind regards

Hello Paul,
I think it's specially the first barn (from the left) that catches all attention.
The contrast of the textures and the colours of the walls of these barns with the beautiful sky is excellent.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Paul
The wide angle works well here to accentuate the leaning barns. I like the colour combination with the reds being most prominent.

Hello Paul,
I like these old red barns sitting in this tall dry grass which creates a nice contrast. The clouds are nice too and scene looks wind swept which I like very much. Wonderful POV with great details, colours and good quality! Great work, Paul!

Hello Paul!
I've already seen some "visual effects" like this one here at TE and I really enjoy them! It definitely seems like you did that on a pp work (I read your note, I know it's real) and that's what's most interesting and eye-catching in this image!
The photo has also excellent sharpness, correct exposure, a well chosen pov and a simple but truly effective composition!
TFS - Congratulations!
Warmest regards,
Neyvan

Hello Paul,
Between 1920 and 1990 lived two uncles of me in Alberta, two farmers, two brothers of my father.
I remember these type barns of old picture, completely in wood.
Indeed your 10-22mm lens makes perfect super wide pictures.
Composition and colours are very well. TFS.
Best regards,
John

That barn on the left kind of resembles me in the pub last night!- Hahaha...
I love these rustic old buildings. They really have a lot of character which comes across well on film (or a monitor). You've chosen a good angle to convey the scene and again- I like the wide angle lens which has really added depth to the shot. The only thing I may have done to clean up the shot was clone out the power lines as they're really the only distraction to an otherwise clean shot.
I wonder how these 4 barns would have appeared had you shot them straight on from the right. 3 perfect and 1 leaning might make for an interesting and somewhat humourous shot.
All the best buddy,
- Dan

Hello Paul,
This is such a lovely rustic image with buildings seemingly held up by tradition as much as the forces of physics. The colors are vivid, and the resolution sharp and precise. The tall dried stalks against the weathered siding of the bans, and the gray clouds hanging in the background all collaborate in creating a memorable image. Well done.
Warm regards,

Hi Paul, A really simple subject & nicely photographed, its great how the near hut leans towards the others as if drawn to them, I love the texture offered here, excellent light & sharp quality, kind regards Wilson.

a very minimalist composition but with a great effect. I do not mind the distortion, it works very well in the context of this composition because it is mainly the fascinating persepctive that makes this impression so interesting and pleasant. Nice colors and light. TFS!

hello Paul
I've enjoyed browsing your gallery and marvelling at your delicate touch. This particular photo has a lot going on for it : the subdued colors, the heavy skies, the decrepit textures.
Congratulations
Emmanuel
