Photographer’s Note
An artistic wonder at Winnipeg's "The Forks". I wanted to take pictures of the place and this is what I came up with. Was wondering if it really fits onto this site but chose to post it in the end, even though the subject may be a bit questionable. It's also on Trek Lens.
To clarify what exactly "The Forks" is, or rather what it is more or less. The forks is a naturally created fork by the meeting of two rivers, the Assinaboine river and the Winnipeg river. These are the stomping grounds and once upon a time, trading grounds of the American Natives and perhaps some other Companies. I am not sure how huge the deal was at the time but it was big enough to make the place what it is today. A tourisst attraction and a piece of Canadian history to look at and explore for those who are interested in Native history, which I think is way worth the while.

Well, what is The Forks? A park? I like the picture because it shows something different. You did a good job sowing the opening of the pipe well in focus while blurring the rest to more or less hide the structure. Lovely artistic picture. Thanks Jacek.
