Photographer's Note
This is Winnipeg's Provencher Bridge lit up at night. While the auto white balance feature of my camera didn't get it quite right, I was pleased with the result, as the bridge appears gold in colour.

welsome to trekearth shona, hope you like this site
the photograph is beautiful; your exposure seems to be just perfect, i wish you had a wider lens though, that ways your composition could have just a little stronger
anyway good first upload.
take care

Excellent debut photo, Shona. Welcome to TE! You chose the perfect time of evening to shoot this, using a dramatic sky as a background to the stunning lights and lines of the bridge. Very well done. Keep posting.

Hi Shona;
Welcome to Trekearth! I've only been to Winnipeg once, and that was about 14 years ago; but we did have a boat tour down the river- heading through the locks etc. But I must admit, I don't recall this bridge? Is it a fairly new addition?
As you mentioned, your camera did not read the white balance correctly, but to be honest- I think it worked in your favour. I like the color.
Cheers!
