Following the harvest farmers use machinery to pack up the loose straw into bales. This is one shape I've seen this fall; the other is the smaller rectangular bale, then piled high like I've shown in "Mount Bale."
Taken West of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, just prior to sunset. Cropped, saturation increased to 5, and framed.

Nice shot. I like the contrast between the bright colors on the ground and the darker colors in the clouds.
Keep it up,

The yellow of the sraw is outstanding. Set against the muted grey skys it creates quite a contrast. Good POV, the lines in the crop leading ones eyes along the photo.

Myrna thanks for the Bale shot. I was born in Winkler...the town with the tall water tower. I moved to BC when I was a young laddy. I remember travelling down many prairie roads that were always straight unlike the winding roads here in BC. I like the color of this bale with the evening tones shining across the scene. Suggestion. I would tend to make the large bale a little off center in the frame to allow a longer perspective in the photo. Thats it! Over here in BC we have alot of rain so we have to wrap up our bales in Shrink Wrap to keep them dry and then they can be stored outside all winter. Thanks for the photo!

The staw bales are all the rage right now,and for a good reason as they are very photogenic.
Beautiful golden colors and good exposition.
i do agree with Paul, the positionning to the right will have free the golden field on the laft, especially that its color is so attractive.
Have a good day

do you know why the photo caught my eye? Funny having identic sights in Poland at the end of september:) You could also have called this photo "polish sheaf". Very warm colours for gloomy fall's days. Thank you,
