*Deuxième version plus grande permettant la version beaupcoup plus grande du panorama!
Maligne canyon est l'un de ces petits joyaux cachés de plus en plus envahis par les touristes.
Heureusement, les nombreuses passerelles d'observation ajoutent au décor époustouflant de ces gorges fracassantes où l'eau bleue-gris des glaciers s'est taillé un chemin dans la roche friable comme une hache dans un gâteau.
Pas évident de photographier autant de majesté, mais une panoramique verticale s'imposait pour cette chute-ci, la plus haute du canyon. Pris en 3 potraits recollés, j'ai dû enlever une petite partie du haut et du bas afin de garder assez de largeur pour qu'on voie bien l'échelle de la chute (oui, c'est bien un gros tronc d'arbre en travers de l'eau). un petit peu de correction des blancs à cause du couvert nuageux désaturant, et un petit soupçon de dégradé pour corriger la surexposition dûe à la grande différence de luminosité entre le trou et la cîme. Un peu d'ajout de netteté aurait pu être intéressant vu la petitesse de l'image réduite, mais ça serait trop pour les belles roches lisses.
Maligne Canyon
Maligne Canyon is one of those small hidden gems becoming flooded with tourists.
Fortunately, the many observation bridges add to the extraordinary scene of those smashing ravines where the blue-gray glacier meltwaters hewed itself a path through the limestone like an ax in a cake.
It's not easy to photograph such majesty, bu a vertical panorama imposed itself for this particular fall, the highest in the canyon. Taken in 3 stitched portraits, I had to recrop portions of the top and bottom in order to keep just enough width so that we could see the scale of the fall (yes, that's a full-sized tree trunk down in the water). A small white balance correction to compensate for the desaturating grey skies, and a tiny bit of progressive shading to compensate the slight overexposure due to the huge luminosity difference between the pit & the skyline. A bit of sharpening could have been interesting because of the small scale image, but it would prove too much for the smooth stones.

Hello Bruno,an impressive shot.I particularly like the Large Post,the size of the canyon becomes much more obvious.
Where were you standing to take the shot?

Superbe prise de vue et composition, les couleurs et le point de vue est excellent, belle note sur le sujet de ta photo et en panorama qui est excellent nous donne beaucoup de détails.. superbes couleurs et lumières ..Excellent cliché et beauté naturelle de ce canyon..

Ca donne le vertige, tant la perspective est valorisée par ce format fort judicieux. on semble plonger dans les antrailles de la terre. superbe coin et une bien belle prise de vue.
