Photographer's Note
A glimpse of Beehive Mountain from the trail between Mirror Lake & Lake Agnes, above Lake Louise, in Banff National Park, in the Canadian Rockies. Almost exactly one year ago. How time flies!
Here's a shot of Beehive Mt in Summer, from Mirror Lake:
http://www.summitpost.org/images/original/232951.jpg
"The Beehive is a mountain located in Banff National Park of Alberta, Canada. It was named by J. Willoughby Astley in 1890 because the mountain resembles a beehive.[1]The mountain is also known as the Big Beehive as there is a smaller beehive shaped mountain nearby called the Little Beehive.
The mountain is located above Lake Louise and can be accessed via hiking trails either from Lake Louise or Lake Agnes."

Hello Chris,
A superb vertical shot. I like the composition well balalnced of this shot in three plans very well delimited; the FG very well exposed and with plesant shade's effect, the forest of fir trees and finally the top of the moutains which arise very well between the forest and the sky. Colors and especially details very well colected. A great depht too aboput the second top.
Best regards,
Roger

Namaste Chris,
very good perspective to see. The share of the mountain is peculiar. Great light and colour. Contrasting well with the foreground white. Very well composed shot. Tfs.

Hi Chris,
The trees are framing well the mountain. the point of view is showing the details and colors of the Beehive mountain. The reflection of the light on the snow is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Bonjour Chris,
une incroyable montagne avec un charme inoui, une verticalité impressionnante renforcée par les spins qui guident le regard vers le haut.
Belles couleurs fortes et naturelles.
Amitié.

Olá Chris, looks like a giant head raising from the forest of pinetrees. Love the short hair on top and the textures with the snow. Excellent exposure with the shadows and bright snow in FG.

Hello Chris,
A crisp winter day has given you good light for this shot. The f/g textured snow makes a fine lead to the tall trees surmounted by the impressive mountain. I can understand why it is called Beehive Mtn!
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hello Chris,
The name is very well chosen. Good use of the vertical format to frame the beehive, whilst the foreground fir trees makes a pleasing contrast with the tones of the rocky mountain. Very good light with good natural colours and good sharpness.

Hi Chris. An ideal POV looking up at this tall, appropriately named peak. The trees right at the top are very clear and the image is very pleasing to look at. Well done. Murray.

Hi Chris
The vertical framing was the correct choice on this interestingly shaped mountain.
I like the texture of it with some snow.
Good colors and exposure too

Hi Chris: This rock stood out very well against the blue sky. The choice of tall framing is very good with pine trees surrounding this rock looking rather pleasing. Best regards. Jusni
