Photographer’s Note
Lake Louise lies in the Banff National Park. On the left you can see the boat house where you can rent canoes for going on the lake.
The lake is about 5km away from the tiny town of Lake Louise.

Hello Wanda,
Beautiful place but too crowded during summer season! This image is very good. The colours and clarity make this scene look natural. An excellent classical approach to this composition. Thanks for sharing this beauty :-)

Hi Wanda. exceptional POV that augments the vastness of the topography. Everything seems to draw us towards some mysterious vanishing point. Impressive place. Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Wanda! No matter how many pictures I see from this place, each photographer offers something different, even when standing at the same corner. Still surprises me. Here the light plays a special role and how it somehow beams through the valley leaving an interesting pattern on the water. The water seems glass clear, nice to see the stones through adding another interesting element to your photo. Many clouds haning there, reminding me a lot of Switzerland. No matter how deep in summer we are, in can turn like this from one hour to the other. Very nice work ... Best wishes, Barbara.

Hi Wanda,
seems you had some clouds there around!
I really like here the reflection of the lighter part in the middle, continuing to the right!
the left side is darker and the hut + boats does not bring much so I may would try a square format here!
a little additional point is I would also clone the two lighter cropped stones in the right
cheers

There has been a dramatic shift in your style Wanda and the way you have been looking at and capturing colours and the ambience

Hi Wanda,
I had a good look at your photo, as it represents something more than the Lake Louise for me...
Since you are gone, I have checked many books about the Rockies - I've spent some time in a library while it was raining... - and according to the "professional" images I have seen, your photo come out quite nicely from the bunch, as you have lite details on each side and an overall interesting mood from the clouds.
I like the combination of reflection mixed with rocks from the lake bottom that you can see through crystal clear water. You might have seen it as well, but this big fish shaped shadow on the right mountain couldn't been possibly more relevant in this set-up (is it a fish called Wanda?... :-P)
Your colours are pure and strong, maybe a tidy bit on the dark side, unless is the actual computer screen that I'm surfing on that isn't properly calibrated.
Your devoted francophone,
Andre

Hi Wanda:
Very nice, very nice indeed. I don't normally say that about Lake Louise shots because they're generally a dime a dozen, but this one is different. Maybe it's the darkness of the shot and the lack of color saturation, or maybe it's the snow on Fairview Mountain at left, or maybe it's the composition (speaking of which, I really like those rocks in the water in the foreground). But overall it's a nice shot. I've been here many times, but I was here once about three years ago in early May, and the lake was completely frozen over like it was the dead of winter (which it basically still was in the Rockies, haha). But here, other than the snow on the mountains, everything looks thawed. What a difference a month makes! Thanks for sharing--this is giving me desires to return to the Canadian Rockies, my favorite place on earth. :)

My apologies for having a late peep into your gallery. Being busy would just be an excuse. A perfect use of the wide angle lens here & I like the seemingly converging perspective created by the stones below the crystal clear water. Also like how the mountain on the right & its reflection creates a image of an arrowhead! Exposure might have been difficult & you managed quite well...expect perhaps for a tad OE on the snowcapped peak (sorry for the nitpicking). But what a place to be!
Best Regards

Hi Wanda!
Congratulations on this successful picture!
You captured very well the allures of this place and I am very thankful for sharing this image with us.
I wonder at the brilliant colours, the attractive curves of the slopes below the clouds and the symmetry thanks to the calm water of the lake working as a mirror. I suppose the altitude was quite high where the beauty of nature is always present.
The camera is the only way to preserve the memories alive!
You have done a good job of work!
Best wishes,
Athanasios.
