Half of the lake in Alberta, the other half being in the U.S.,Waterton is wonderful destination for anyone wondering Southern Alberta.
The photo is taken from the Bear`s Shoulder, a high point 2.5km away from the townsite, following a quite steep trail from behind the Reception Desk.

What a nice point of view, the valley seems to be really nice and the color of the water is amazing, apparently a good place to visit.
A useful hike...

You have a great viewpoint there Nelu, but the weather really didn't help and consequently the images is rather crummy. With the sky high in the sky and the haze thick, you get low contrast and a flat result. It would be great to be upt there after a rain clears the air.

Fotografia ta este extraordinar de frumoasa.
Superbe culori si perfecta claritate.
Si locul de unde ai facut-o e teribil.
Multe felicitari si salutari din Romania.

A high POV, which works good. It almost looks like a Norwegian fjord! The steep hillsides make the landscape dramatic and beautiful. My advice would be to not include the rocks in the foreground (bottom right corner), but that's just my opinion. Just wonder, is the border visible in the picture? Thanks for sharing.
