Photographer's Note

Wedge Pond seriously has to be one of the finest spots for photography in Kananaskis. For sunrise, you've got this view of Mt. Kidd and the Fortress. For sunset, the mountains to the rear of me are quite beautiful. In the fall, the shore of the pond is a brilliant yellow from the aspens. And it's all just right off Highway 40, the main road through Kananaskis.

I'm on assignment for work in Calgary this week. Our office was closed on Canada Day, but since I live in the States, I still had to work. But that didn't mean I couldn't take half a morning to enjoy the beautiful day in these mountains that Calgarians got to enjoy.
