Photographer's Note
I found this shot from just over a year ago while perusing my hard-drive and enjoyed the late afternoon cloud formations and colors as well.
This is Lake Edith in Jasper National Park, the Canadian Rockies.
From a Raw photo - cropped, dodged, and burned in Photoshop CS3.

Hello Doug! You certainly are the master of finding interesting foregrounds in the lake. When most people search for stones as their foregrounds you always find a little algae that makes the picture interesting and different. I like the long leading in and that the land is kept in the upper part and that you let the refelctions work instead writing their own stories. Truly beautiful out here ... Excellent work! Barbara.

Hi, Doug,
what an incredibly beautiful shot! The reflections are magnificent and I love the way they meet at a point on the left. Beautiful color, lovely detail and I especially like the way you can see into the water AND see the reflections. Just beautiful! Many thanks and kindest regards,
Shelly
