Photographer’s Note
Once the residence of Alberta's Lieutenant Governors, Government House is now used for high-level government conferences, receptions, and dinners. This building has been designated a Provincial Historic Resource and it can't be altered without the permission of the Minister in charge of cultural institutions.
From a Raw photo - cropped and contrast altered in Photoshop CS3.

Hello, Doug -
Very creative POV which makes the dramatic sky the star of the image. The lamp post points the way straight upward. The building, though interesting, becomes almost superfluous. Very nice shot.

A striking use of unusal angles and perspectives. Good idea - a catchy shot with splendid detail and colors. Well seen and TFS. Gerald
