Photographer’s Note
I took this shot at Edmonton's annual Klondike Days event this past summer and a storm had just passed through and the ride was silent.
From five bracketed exposures, one full stop apart - HDR.

I think you've made a great composition!.. excelent colors and strange effect due to the HDR technique... I suppose ... I don't know how HDR works, but I love the results. May be I should have cropped from above to eliminate some of the floor that contribute to the shot in active way. Great work

I like this shot Doug. The rain clouds and the rain on the ground are perfect. An amusement park and ominous rainclouds are quite the contrast, which is what I like about the shot. Thanks for sharing.

Great shot Doug! I like the contrast between the bright colours of the ride and the grey of the sky and the metal floor. The blur of the ferris wheel is a little disconcerting, but it doesn't detract too much, and may even add another dimension to things. Well done!

Hi Doug. This is a very surreal photo. When you look closely you realise how industrial the fun fides are. The HDR has added further to the surreal atmosphere. Nice work and thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Doug! Picardo said everything that I was thinking!
Great colors and composition. I would like to see an horizontal view of this place, cropping a little bit of the floor...

Nice one Doug,
great colours and an excellent pov. All of the colours are in unison. Love seaside and theme park shots, especially when nobody is in them as here. Like it. Great use of HDR at it's best.
regards,
Mark

Hi Doug, great vibrant saturated colours perfect for this futuristic looking scene. The shape of the ride carts almost look like alien eyes scanning around for prey, works well against the cool metallic flooring and eerie looking cloudy sky.
