Photographer’s Note
A ride sits idle after a rain storm soaks Edmonton's annual fair, Capital Ex.
From a Raw photo - cropped and contrast altered in Photoshop.
* As per Ben's question below - This is how the scene really looked, surprisingly.. no post-processing was done with the saturation! :)

What a great way to make a dull greay sky find it's place in the world! Great eye... perfect POV, DOF, XYZ, etc.

A great detail shot of this fairground ride Doug. Isolating this portion of the ride has made for quite an abstract image.
I also like how with exception of the colourful ride itself, every thing seems almost monochrome. Is that a result of your post-processing?
Good work, Ilike it.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Doug,
It's a nice shot..For some reason I have become interested lately in amusement rides that have fallen into disuse (either from neglect or weather)...they make an interesting lonely statement I think. Your's is a great shot of that feeling (I love the puddles underneath)...I have fond memories of these midways that travel across Canada for the exhibitions.
Cheers
Mark
