Moose Mountain

I'm dedicating this to Roberto because he hiked it last weekend carrying his daughter on his back all the way to the highest peak.
A birds eye view of Moose Mountain from my flight over the Rockies. A thought the early morning light showed off all the valleys so nicely. I've climbed Moose Mountain but never made it to the fire lookout. I did hike the ridge on the top left side of Moose Mountain above the Ice Caves. It was a very steep hike but found fossils on top.

What a surprise Janice and thank you for the dedication :-) Maybe next time you can make it to the summit and enjoy the fine views from up there. I like this picture, specially because I assume you took it from a plane. Plus the area and shape of the mountain is very different from up here. I visited the ice caves twice before and going inside is a little scary. The first time I was able to go as far as I could possibly squeeze my body. I got to a point where I was flat on my belly and unable to lift myself. The second time, the infamous ice stopped us about 30 mts into the hole. Thanks again Janice :-)
