Photographer's Note

Bow Lake is a small lake in western Alberta, Canada. It is located on the Bow River, in the Canadian Rockies, around 2000 m of altitude, this is why the lake was still completely frozen despite the fact that we were well advanced into spring when I got there. It was still under zero at the beginning of may! I was sort of bummed that all the lakes were frozen so I could not enjoy their amazing green-blue color. Here the blue is only the reflection of the sky onto the thick ice.

But it was still fun being there. If you have a chance to go in Banff or Jasper National parks, make sure you take at least a day to drive the Icefields parkway, each 2-3 km offers a new view of this kind. Truly amazing place!!

have a good day!
