A large hay field between Black Diamond and Okotoks. The colours seem darker because of the position of the sun. Basically the sun was just outside the left edge of the picture.
Black Diamond is a few kms from Turner Valley. People can actually hike or bike from one town to the other. A scenic place with lots of history regarding the oil industry.

hi roberto,
spectacular landscape, no doubt...
interesting that the hayballs in your versions stay quite small (relatively) and for this reason it seems that their number is huge, so seems the field, endless hayballs "playground"...
best, j.

Bonjour Roberto
Joli cliché de ce paysage dégagé avec ces bottes de paille qui fleurissent en cette saison chez toi comme en France, j'en ai fait voir une du même type hier. Jolies couleurs et belle profondeur d'image.
Merci pour le partage et bonne journée.

Hello Roberto,

It is clear on the photo what you have thought a lot for the composition: the panoramic view, the barrier of the field for the first ground, the truck tracks in the field to go to the "grass balls"...
I like a lot the "grass balls": it catches the look on the landscape.

Yves.

Hi Roberto.

You make this a fantasy this time.. Land of the Lilliputs !!! The rolls feel like an army marching to the war front...
Fantastic framing, good management of tones and lights.
Salutes, dear Roberto.

Hello Roberto,

A splendid landscape picture, very lovely with the strawballs on the slope.
Also the clouds to the sky care for a attractive picture, almost a Belgian landscape out of the Flemish Ardennes.
Thanks for sharing.

Best regards,
John.

Hola Roberto,

Beautiful image, very wide, with very pleasant golden tones and lovely clouds.

This is a simple view but yet complex, because there are so many elelements, looking them very careful I am discovering new and new :)
Isabela

Hi Roberto,
have you counted them? A large crowd of hayballs, wonderful draped over the slope (why less in foreground?). The warm colours and the good depth are welcome and the overall composition with the background of the house and trees and the foreground fence ist just good.
Lieben Gruss, Ulf

Hi Roberto,
This is a fascinating and glittering impression, indeed. The colours are beautiful, I like the spectacular perspective and the fine details. Calm and peaceful mood, Great! Have a nice day

A nice looking landscape Roberto. I have to say, that I wasn't expecting much looking at the thumbnail...but seeing the fullsize version paints a different story. Alot of small details to see, especially in the background with all those hay bails scattered throughout the field, surrounding the farm house in the distance. Good composition, a very subtle looking shot with good color also.

Nice work.
John

Hi Roberto,

Very nice landscape with the balls given a good perspective. Superb colors and light. I like the fence in the foreground.

Well done!
Leonor

Hi Roberto,

It is a very beautiful composition. I like the sky. it is very photogenic.

Best regards,

Seb

This is a really nice landscape and I think it is my favorite. The bales look really really sharp and I like the patch of green in the foreground with the fence. Your point of view really brings out the farm house on the hill which is a nice touch and your sky is a "true" blue sky. The clouds have nice definition as well.

Hola Roberto,
That green fence line adds a lot of DOF to your photo. Your farm scenes and splendid cloud-filled skies do remind me a lot of NS in the summer. HLJ, Pat

Hi Roberto,
Interesting composition of the hay field, have no hay field in my country because 365 days a year are summmer days, distinct image in dark color, good pov to show the hayrolls at the wide land, thanks for sharing.

Its always nice to see farm shots and when it comes from Canada it became even more interesting for me! I love this scenery! Very nice POV and specially DOF due to all that hayballs (is it the name?)! Well taken!

Zeca

Hola Roberto,
Estupenda panorámica de este campo segado con sus rollos de paja. Excelente contraste de colores y definición.
Buen trabajo
Cordialmente
Charo

Hi Roberto, the layers you composed here are wonderful with these colors and this ideal lightness.
Best wishes.
Evan

Roberto,
Your compo choice is original, as lots of other photographers, I assume, would have unframed the green line on the FG... But the result here shows you were right, this grass balance the colors of the whole image, I like that.
Regards,
JB.

Hi Roberto,
There're some striking colors in your photo, but what I really like here is the perspective you achieved. The tracks in the ground show you the way to go 'till the end of the field. TFS.
Rafa.

I like the simplicity of this photo, Roberto, showing the vastness of the prairie and the freedom of the sky. The diagonal green swath adds some refreshment to the warm monotony of golden browns, and the fence and path make a nice starting point for the eye. (I see that mountain wayyyy in the distance...)

Kind regards,
Lisa

Hi Roberto,
Excellent Canadian western late summer landscape. The numerous hay bales make a wonderful contrast with the beautiful pale blue summer sky with its intricate cloud patterns.

Hola Roberto,
I have a certain tendency to look for posts like this one that receive less attention than others, so having chosen this one to critique has nothing to do with considering this one better than the others that I didn't write about. I was never very good in deciding "which one is better" between things that I like much. However, I don't understand why this one received only half the points of many others of this splendid series. I notice here that special talent of yours for such landscape views that I appreciate so much - vast space, beautiful colours, great sharpness, wise pov's. That said it doesn't sound much, but believe me, I like it very much.
Saludos, José.

Beautiful lighting!! I love the fall, just wish I didn't know what was coming next. :) The colors are beautiful. TFS

Hi ROberto,
Spectacular landscape.the strawballs appears as if figures crawling on the golden field, well done.
