Castle Mountain Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is Castle Mountain,as seen from the Bow Valley Parkway.
This route is a great alternative for the TransCanada Highway,from Banff to Lake Louise.
The speed limit is only 50km/hour but the views are amazing and lately, because of the road construction on TransCanada,you can even gain some time,because the main road is crawling anyways.

Hi Nelu,
Beautiful landscape, the shadows of the clouds add a lot to the image. The suggestion of the parkway in the foreground works for me as it puts your note and the scenery you can expect to see on the drive into context, but is not so obvious that it detracts from the natural beauty of the area. Very nice balance in your composition, and the lowish POV shows the forground wildflowers perfectly.

Amazing clouds and the shadow that they cast on the landscape adds to the overall beauty of this photo. I also like you POV to capture the flowers. Great definition and clarity in the trees and mountains.

E minunat peisajul, Nelu - cateva zile aici si cand m-as intoarce acasa nu m-ar mai recunoaste ai mei: o bunatate de fata, calma, linistita :))).
Super calitatea imaginii: culorile, contrastul (aici am eu mari probleme :) ); foarte bine compus.
Stii ce-mi place cel mai mult: parca simt aerul de-acolo, 'feels so alive', e o imagine care transmite (exista multe peisaje foarte bine facute, 'sticla' le zic eu, te uiti la ele, le admiri, dar nu 'treci de ecran/monitor').

Very nice picture of this famous mountain! I like it because of the great lighting, with the sun on the foreground and peak while the clouds in behind add a dramatic appearance. It's also good because this is different from the usual view of the the mountain, giving us a different perspective. Well done!

This is a great landscape shot. Your composition is fine creating a nice diagonal with the road which gives the scene a nice sense of direction. The different layers of color are nice adding good contrast to the shot. The lighting is great with excellent sharpness and detail.
