Alvin,
The reflection gives this shot great balance and depth. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. The longer exposure gives the shot well saturated colors and great DOF. The contrasts throughout the shot are outstanding. The deep blue sky forms an excellent backdrop for the scene.

Hello Alvin,

The reflection is like on mirror as proofs your photo's title. Spectacular blue, sharp cliffs on ridges and lake surface are really magnificent. Light curve on green forest and silhouettes of trees are wonderful, congratulations.

I see you still can keep on posting these beauties from the rockies. 5 months to go before i am there but i am in doubt if i can make such landscapes because you always know where to find the best light on a certain location. The brightness in combination with the contrast is wonderful, just as the clarity and reflection....again a great shot to your already imposing gallary.

Excellent composition. Something is bugging me about the rocks in the foreground though..over sharpened..or maybe it's just the effects of "save for web"...or maybe I haven't had enough caffeine yet today. : ) I also wish the foreground could be a lightened some...

Man, i really like how you've composed this thing though...it's quite spectacular. I see so many great shots from Banff that I really need to plan a trip there to see all this great stuff in person.

Hi Alvin,
For currently being in vacations in the french alps I can only agree with you ! It is superb in winter but equally beautiful in summer as we can see on your picture and this one is no exception, I wrote many times on others about technical excellence, here I like the detail of these rising dark trees against the landscape in full light glory.

Hello Alvin,
As I wrote before I am never tired of admiring your great sceneries, Lake Moraine is just on of them, and indeed we can see how crystalline the air seems to be. Good description of what the world must have been before the pollution started.
I won't be around for about a week now. Leaving tomorrow morning for a trip in Central Anatolia.

I'm curious Alvin, I'm not seeing any mention of a graduated ND filter, polarizer, or HDR type info. How'd you get such contrast between the bright mountain and the almost twilight sky at the top of the image?
Excellent sharpness and bold colors (without going overboard).

Your shots of Canada's Rocky Mountains (like this one & so many more) continue to be a source of inspiration for me - and I now have a D200 to bring with me on my next big trip over from Oz! When I do make it to this special place again, I hope I can come close to emulating your great work.
