It's been over 8 years since I first learned of this gem of a lake. It's been over 6 years since I last visited. And now, I finally have pictures of it that are halfway decent. :)
The incomparable Peyto Lake, a short stroll off the Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park. I visited nearby Bow Lake at sunrise and lingered there about 45 minutes, but because of how long it takes for the sun to clear the mountains across the Parkway from this lake, when I got to Peyto Lake it looked like sunrise all over again.
This is of course the view from the standard tourist viewpoint. But I also hiked a mile and a half roundtrip to a higher vantage point farther south. An incredible view, one I'll have to share another day.

This photo is far more than "halfway decent", it's stunning. Composition, color, dof and exposure are excellent. Beautiful shot, very well done!
